Film Screening: Good Fortune - A Human Rights Watch Film Festival Film

Part of the Regent's College Artspace Festival

Thursday 25 March, 6:10 pm for 6:30 pm start in Tuke Cinema - Followed by drinks and post-show discussion

Artspace Festival - Human Rights Watch FilmWe are proud to take part in the Human Rights Watch Film Festival with this screening of Landon Van Soest and Jeremy Levine’s  Good Fortune.

Are international efforts to alleviate poverty in Africa undermining the very communities they aim to benefit? Good Fortune presents a unique perspective on human rights abuses and environmental destruction carried out in the name of progress in Kenya.

With a broad scope and intimate style, the film portrays surprising stories of human perseverance in the face of projects that may be doing more harm than good.

The screening is a fund-raiser for the London Network of Human Right Watch.

"Production is a profoundly collaborative team process and any model that forces (people) to form a team and work together to make a film has to be good. I really think this practical element, even if just making a very simple short piece, is a huge plus to the course."
