What are original transcripts and certificates?
You will need to provide all original
certificates and transcripts in order to register onto any
programme at LSFMP.
Transcripts are a record of your academic
achievement showing a detailed breakdown of subjects studied and
marks achieved. They are usually provided with the final
certificate.
Certificates are usually given to you once you
have completed a particular qualification as proof.
The registry or courses office at your institution should be
able to provide these documents for you.
If these documents need translating in to
English, then it will need to be done so by an official
translation company or notarised by a public notary.
What is expected within the personal statement?
Your personal statement should be approximately 300-500
words, stating the reasons why you are applying for your chosen
course.
What is a letter of recommendation? Who might make a suitable
referee?
A letter of recommendation is a letter in which the writer
assesses the qualities, characteristics, and capabilities of the
person being recommended. They should also explain why they think
you would make a suitable candidate for the course you are applying
for.
As part of the entry requirements, we ask students to
submit 2 references:
- An academic reference - we accept references from
previous/current tutors or previous/current employer.
- A personal/character reference – not from a peer or family
member.
There is no form for referees to fill out. Your referee should
simply write a 300-500 reference indicating the nature and duration
of their relationship to you, and include a comment on your
academic/professional capabilities or personal characteristics and
suitability for the course
You or your referees can email, fax or send
references to us
