Undergraduate - Admission Requirements

BA (Hons) Programmes

We require a minimum of two passes at GCE A Level at C grade or above, and five passes at GCSE/IGCSE level at Grade C or above, including Maths and English. We also accept equivalent qualifications, for example:

  • Five Scottish Highers - at grade C
  • Five Irish Leaving Certificates - at grade C Higher Level
  • International Baccalaureate Diploma - with 32 points out of 45
  • French Baccalaureat - with 13 out of 20
  • European Baccalaureate - with 75% out of 100%
  • National Baccalaureate
  • Abitur - with 2.5 out of 4
  • Maturità/Esame di Stato - with 75 out of 100
  • Avgangsbetyg - with mostly VG and MVG grades
  • Vitnemål - with 4/5 out of 6
  • VWO - with grade 7 out of 10
  • Título de Bachillerato - with 7 out of 10
  • Advanced Placement Exams - 3 subjects at grade 3, or 2 at grade 4
  • Bagrut/Mechina - 75/100 or 7.5 out of 10
  • Apolytirion of Lykeio - 17/20

Other equivalent international qualifications as recommended by the National Academic Recognition Information Centre (NARIC) will be accepted; please contact us for further information.

Please note that interviews are not a compulsory admissions requirement for LSFMP Undergraduate programmes.*  However, when appropriate, candidates may be selected for interview to help assess their applications.

BA (Hons) Acting & Global Theatre

In addition to meeting the above academic requirements, applicants for the BA (Hons) Acting & Global Theatre degree are required to undertake and successfully pass an acting audition as part of the admissions process. Once you have submitted your application and supporting documents, and we have assessed your academic eligibility, successful candidates will be contacted with an invitation to attend audition along with a detailed audition pack.

BA (Hons) Acting & Global Theatre auditions are held on campus on the first Tuesday of every month, from 12:45-17:00. Auditions comprise of an individual audition and interview. Each candidate will be assigned a time accordingly. The audition pack will include speeches from which you may select and further guidelines as to how to prepare for your audition.

If are unable to come to London you will be required to produce and submit a DVD portfolio in replacement of your audition. Please contact the admissions office for further information. Please be aware that it is not possible to book a place for an audition without having first submitted an application and supporting documents.

English Language Requirements

For those applicants whose native language is not English, we require a recent pass in any of the following qualifications:

European Union/European Economic Area Nationals

For students who are nationals of the EU/EEA countries and English is not their native language, we require one the following qualifications**:

  • IELTS score of 6.0
  • TOEFL 80 points in the internet-based test, 213 in the computer-based version, or 550 in the paper-based test. The TOEFL code for LSFMP is 2487. 
  • Cambridge Advanced English Certificate grades A-C
  • Certificate of Proficiency in English grades A-C
  • Pearson Test of English with 50 points
  • GCSE/IGCSE English Grade C or above
  • A Level English Grade C or above
  • Minimum Grade 5 in the International Baccalaureate English -  Higher Level or Standard Level A1 or A2 (not B)
  • English C of the Avgangsbetyg with a VG or MVG
  • English grade 5 or 6 in the Vitnemål
  • 75% overall in all English components of the European Baccalaureate
  • EIKEN English test - Grade Pre 1

English Requirements for Non-EU/EEA Nationals

For students who are non-EU/EEA nationals and English is not their native language, we require one the following qualifications in accordance with UK Border Agency (UKBA) guidelines***:

  • IELTS overall score of 6.0 showing a minimum of a 5.5 pass in all four components of the test
  • TOEFL with 87 points, showing a minimum pass of Reading - 18, Listening - 17, Speaking - 20, Writing - 17 (Please note that the paper-based TOEFL is not accepted by the UKBA)
  • Pearson’s Test of English with 50 points, showing a minimum pass of 51 in all four components of the test
  • Cambridge Advanced English – Grade C or above in all elements
  • GCSE or A Level English at Grade C or above, studied and taken in the UK on a student visa

On-campus IELTS Diagnostic Test

If you live in London, or are able to visit us, we can offer you a free Cambridge IELTS Diagnostic test. This test is offered through Internexus English Language School and should be arranged in advance.

Please note, this is a diagnostic test for Regent’s College London only.

** This requirement may be waived if the last three years of the student's education were in English. We reserve the right to request an English test at our discretion.

*** Please note this requirement is not only for academic purposes, but more importantly to meet the UKBA guidelines for a Tier 4 student visa.
