Do I need to audition?
Students who are academically eligible to
enter the BA (Hons) Acting & Global Theatre programme are
required to audition.
You will be made a conditional offer, which is
conditional upon you successfully passing the audition.
Please be aware that it is not possible to
book a place for an audition without first having completed the
application process.
Once you have submitted your application and
supporting documents, we will contact you with an admissions
decision.
You will be sent an audition pack and
invitation to attend an audition, as applicable.
In general, the audition consists of two
parts:
- A practical workshop for the group
- An individual audition followed by an
interview. Each candidate will be assigned a time for their
audition
For those that are able to travel to London,
we would require you to audition in person, but where this is not
possible you can send in your audition by post.
If you have any further question regarding
your audition, please do not hesitate to contact
us directly.

What will the audition pack contain?
Your audition pack will contain the
following:
- An audition invitation which we require you
to fill in and bring on the day
- Within the pack you will be required to
prepare one of the four pieces provided. Please note there are
separate pieces for men and women.
- You will be required to
memorise and present one of the
four speeches provided at your audition.
- In preparing your speech, consider who your
character is, what they want and what they are trying to
communicate through their story.
- We include the author and title of the play;
reading the entire play may help you understand the speech better
and aid in preparing your audition.
If you have any further question regarding
your audition, please do not hesitate to contact
