skilled recruits to join the industry.

placed on people management, mediation and interpersonal skills,
and the demands of creative cooperation and group dynamics.
The course contains an
industry placement and a unit in which students will sample the
craft of the industry at first hand by creating a production of
their own – film, TV documentary or other media artefact.
Learning Methods
Students learn through lectures, seminars, workshops and
tutorials, and also have the opportunity to specialise in preferred
media areas through case studies, in turn leading to a Year Three
dissertation on a specific area of creative production. The
syllabus allows students to work both individually and in
groups, thus replicating industry practice.
Who Should Take This Course?
The course is targeted at
those wishing to work in the creative industries but without
necessarily being an originator of material, and at those who wish
to develop as practitioners but desire also to strengthen their
employability and their understanding of the industry by operating
from a different perspective from that of the traditional director
or writer. The course intends to provide the broad training
necessary for anyone seeking to work at any level in the creative
industry.
Employment Opportunities: Where

The entertainment industry
is changing rapidly. In fact the entire media world is on the
edge of far-reaching developments, as new platforms and delivery
modes develop and converge, replacing the traditional methods of
sales and distribution.

will bring to a wide range of creative and decision-making
management roles.
