BA (Hons) Film, TV & Digital Media Production

A full-time degree in producing for film, television & digital media.

This three year programme created and taught by media professionals enables student to respond to changes in the modern broadcast landscape. Students learn about "360-degree broadcasting", alongside the traditional skills of drama, documentary, studio and outside broadcast training.

360 Degree Broadcasting

360-degree broadcasting refers to the large number of platforms which we  now broadcast, watch and interact with media.

Students learn to use the internet to creatively produce material and communicate ideas alongside the traditional skills of directing, producing, sound, lighting, camera, editing and production management.

Students are also introduced to media history and media theory. In additional to many practical projects are written tasks to develop intellectual processes and enhance interest in selected specific areas.

Industry Placement

The course also contains an industry placement and a unit in which students will develop as writers and developers, creating their own productions and understanding how to turn ideas into fully-fledged productions.

You will attend lectures and take part in seminars, workshops and tutorials. You will have the opportunity to specialise in preferred media areas through case studies. You will work both individually and in groups thus replicating industry practice.
