Liberal arts and humanities at Regent’s combines the American model of higher education with the best of the British system.
This is the degree of the future – a programme tailored to your interests that allows you to pursue a specialist major while immersing yourself in a broad-based education spanning the arts, humanities and social sciences. It develops you as a highly employable graduate, prepared with the knowledge, capabilities and innovative spirit that enable you to succeed in whatever field you choose.
An American heritage
Regent’s is surely the best place to study the liberal arts in the UK, if not Europe. With over 20 years’ experience of offering American higher education in the UK, we were one of the first universities to offer a British liberal studies degree. All our modules have been specially designed for the programme, offering choices in subjects as diverse as film studies, applied ethics and political science, to create a highly personal programme that matches your passions and interests.
A training for life
The liberal arts approach develops adaptable, resourceful, open-minded students who are trained as tomorrow’s global leaders. It is not simply about the intellectual and practical skills you acquire, but about your personal and professional development as an individual. From a multidisciplinary base, you choose from a range of majors, in areas such as art history, business and psychology, so you can focus your interest on a particular field. As you do this, the liberal arts ethos challenges you to think independently, to make connections across disciplines, to question conventional wisdom and pursue your own ideas and inspiration.

I chose Regent’s because the curriculum was attractive and challenging. London is a wonderful and welcoming place for any hard-working student looking to expand their academic portfolio. The city is full of multicultural societies and it really is a friendly place for everyone. I have made many international and national friends that I will cherish for life.
