Professional Biography

David Hudson is a psychotherapist with extensive experience in counselling and education. He has run his own private integrative psychotherapy practice for 12 years. David is Course Leader on the Advanced Diploma in Integrative Psychotherapy and teaches and supervises on the M.A. in Psychotherapy and Counselling programme. He is Module Leader on M.A. Psychotherapy and Counselling programme modules 1.3 and 2.3. and is currently modifying M.A. 2.3.  He also teaches Lifespan Development and Introduction to Counselling courses at Regents American College London.

Research Interests

David's research interests are affect regulation theory and the impact of neuroscientific research on integrative psychotherapy, body psychotherapy, psychodrama and spirituality in psychotherapy.

Publications

  • (2006). Attended and helped run workshops in Bioenergetics at the European Association of Psychotherapy in Cambridge.
  • (2008). ‘That's All You Ever Think About' paper on sex addiction – Society for Existential Analysis Hermeneutic Circular.
  • (2010). ‘Reich: Revolution and Regulation' a paper delivered at the 2010 European Association of Psychotherapy in Bucharest.
  • Currently working on a chapter in a book to be edited by Ros Pearmain and Mike Harding provisionally entitled ‘Language and the Body'.
