Professional Biography

Karine is a lecturer, a professional coach, a consultant in cross-cultural management and communication, delivering programs for corporate companies including Barclays, HSBC, Citigroup, SCOR, Atisreal-BNP Paribas and Tokio Marine Insurance.

She lectures at Regent's University London, London Metropolitan University, London Business School and Birkbeck University of London, in Business French, Cross-Cultural Communication and International Management Communication. In 2009, she founded a consulting and coaching company Culture in Business Ltd.

She is committed to developing people to work effectively in a complex and challenging multicultural environment. She coaches managers and teams from different sectors, combining her experience in academic research and business to foster intercultural competence.

Before moving to London, she worked for 7 years in Paris in corporate and public organisations as a Consultant in Training and International Project Management. She also lived in Denmark and Bulgaria.

Teaching & Course Development

Extensive teaching experience and development of courses, modules, seminars and workshops at all levels (undergraduate and postgraduate):

  • Taught in Stages 1, 2, 3, 5, 6, Level 3 and support group in Level 3
  • Taught MA languages students in non-linguistic topics - Developed, designed and delivered cross cultural awareness training for MBA students prior their SPA in Canada
  • Developed, designed and delivered Cross Cultural Coaching sessions for MBA module (individual and team coaching)
  • Developed Assessment: designing, reviewing, marking, double-marking and moderation of exams, setting clear assessment criteria and making them available for students

Module Leader for Level 3 French:

Responsible for harmonisation of Continuous Assessment for Level 3 (number of assessments)

  • Designed a new programme and pedagogical materials in micro and macro-economy
