To Be, Or Not To Be A Mentor?

Piloted in 2009 our student Mentoring Programme has proved highly beneficial to those studying International MBAs. The success of the scheme brings the possibility of roll out to further post-graduate courses. Our first mentors came from Alumni and friends of Regent’s College; this has now grown to include senior level managers from numerous organisations keen to join in for both personal and executive development.

While our mentoring programme is still in its infancy, our ambition is to build a robust and aspirational group of mentors that anyone of note will be proud to cite on their CV. Whilst we are sure the opportunity of becoming a volunteer mentor is valuable in itself, there are a range of exclusive benefits included such as invitations to Regent's College lectures and networking events in our stunning Central London location.

If you or your organisation would like to benefit from participation in this programme  please contact mentors@regents.ac.uk, or call the Careers Team on +44 (0)20 7487 7419.

"I found the lecturers and tutoring at the Regent’s American College London to be of very high quality. In particular, what I learnt about the British press and media has been invaluable for my work in PR. Combining academic studies with part time work was demanding and quite difficult at times. I think it is very important for students to broaden their outlook at the same time as studying, both socially and in taking on work projects. The faculty were very supportive in helping me achieve the right balance and get the most out of the experience."
