Visit from Zhejiang Gongshang University

A senior delegation from Zhejiang Gongshang University visited Regent's College on 2 December 2008. The six-person delegation was headed by Vice-President Mr. Jianping Zhang.

The visit was organised by the International Partnerships Office and it was aimed at building on the College's existing links with Universities in China.

The CEO, Professor Aldwyn Cooper, extended a warm welcome to the guests and gave a brief introduction to Regent's College, including its history and current developments in education, research and international collaboration, especially the collaboration with Chinese universities.

Vice-President Jianping Zhang expressed his appreciation for the hospitality extended to the delegation during their visit. Both sides expressed their hope to strengthen mutual understanding and enhance cooperation through the current student exchange programme and future faculty exchange.

The CEO and members of the College Senior Management, including Martin Timbrell (Dean of the Faculty of Business and Management),  Spencer Coles (Director of Marketing and Student Recruitment) and Professor Michael Scriven (Director of EBS London) hosted a lunch reception for the delegation. During their visit, the ZGU delegation also met with the 5 ZGU students currently participating in the Exchange Programme at EBS London and later gave a presentation to 8 EBS London students planning to take a year abroad at ZGU.

Zhejiang Gongshang University is ranked amongst the top 10 Chinese Universities in the area of Business Administration.
