John Wood

John WoodJohn Wood became a Trustee and Director of Regent's College in November 2007, having worked for approximately 40 years in international investment banking. He became Chair of the Audit Committee in October 2008.

In February 1997, he created his own company, providing institutional marketing services and advice to European specialist investment managers particularly in the alternative investments area (emerging markets, private equity, venture capital and hedge funds).

During the previous 30 years, he worked with a number of merchant/ investment banks in London (such as Schroders, Rothschilds, Manufacturers Hannover (New York), Continental Bank (Chicago)), gaining diverse experience in providing corporate finance and capital markets advice to corporate and governmental clients.

John holds an MA from St John’s College, Cambridge and an MBA from the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania. He was a founder of The Association of MBAs and was a lecturer and tutor at Georgetown University’s Oxford Summer Programmes for 20 years.
