Mary is Bursar at St Hugh’s College, Oxford having commenced in August 2004. She is responsible for strategic, managerial and financial areas and has been instrumental in creating and implementing a Development Office which has increased donor participation from 6% to 16% and gifts to £3.2m per annum. As a member of the Governing Body, she serves on numerous College committees and represents the College on numerous University and inter-collegiate working parties and committees.
Previously she worked as an independent consultant and director at Board level with major assignments including Mersey Regional Ambulance Service Trust, Citibank Global Consumer Bank and Credit Suisse Personal Finance. She worked at Kleinwort Benson from 1984 to 1991 becoming Director responsible for developing the mortgage and savings business for individuals.
Mary has an MBA from Henley and is a Member of The Association of MBAs and a Member of the Institute of Directors.
Mary became a Trustee of Regent's College in October 2010 and is a member of the Finance & General Purposes Committee.
