Raj Pradhan is a Chartered Accountant who is internationally experienced having lived in Africa, Europe and the USA and worked in all the major economies of the world. Before retiring in January 2001, Raj worked as a financial executive in various multinational companies in positions ranging from Financial Controller, European Group Treasurer and Head of Internal Audit and Business Risk worldwide. In this last position, Raj developed an Integrated Risk Management Model which was adopted and implemented as the “Modus Operandi” for ensuring business performance and meeting Corporate Governance Best Practice requirements. He also initiated, implemented and managed a multi award winning financial management training programme for over ten years. All graduates who went though this programme now hold senior management positions either in the Group or in other multinational organisations. In 1995, Raj was appointed a Governor of London South Bank University and became Vice Chair of the University in 1999. He retired from this role in 2003 having served the maximum period permitted under the University’s Memorandum and Articles. Raj is currently serving as a Governor of Hillcroft College, a national residential college for the education and development of disadvantaged women.
Raj became a Trustee of Regent’s College in September 2005 and was elected as Vice-Chair of the Board in May 2010.
