His most recent research projects focus on the role of
research reputation in business school choice in Britain,
transnational consumer segmentation and the financial
crisis and remittances.
Recent research grants include the Higher Education
Academy, Business, Management, Accountancy and Finance (BMAF)
research grant (2010) and the British Academy research grant
(2009) as well as consultancy contracts from the World Bank (2010
and 2011), Euromonitor (2010) and European Commission (2009).

Academic service
Professor Sirkeci is the editor of Transnational
Marketing Journal; the managing editor of
Migration Letters
journal; associate editor of Border Crossing:
Transnational Working Papers in Higher Education; and serves in
the editorial boards for Journal of Research in Interactive
Marketing and Population Review. He has also served
as reviewer for many journals including International Journal
of Multicultural Studies, Ethnic and Racial Studies,
Journal of Ethnic and Migration Studies, International
Affairs, as well as European Marketing Academy
Conference, and Academy of Marketing Conference.
Professor Sirkeci has also served as a reviewer and
evaluator for research and fellowship proposals for the
ESRC and the Higher Education Academy.
He is member of AM (Academy of
Marketing), BAM (British Academy of
Management), IUSSP (International Union for the Scientific
Study of Population); Fellow of HEA
(Higher Education
Academy).
Biography
Professor Sirkeci is the Director of the Regent's
Centre for Transnational Studies and leading MA in International
Marketing while teaching international marketing and supervising
postgraduate research. He had served as an elected member
of the Regent's College Senate. He previously, worked at
the University of Bristol, Atilim University, Hacettepe
University and Bilkent University. He has also been recipient
of many prestigious awards, prizes, and scholarships
including recent research grants from the British Academy and
the Higher Education Academy (BMAF).
Professor Sirkeci has conducted research in the UK,
Germany, Turkey and Iraq, often collaborating with
distinguished research teams. His research has been funded
by national and international agencies and widely published in
international scholarly journals and books. He has also been a
frequent contributor to conferences in Europe and North America.
His most recent research projects include investigation of the role
of research in business school choice in the UK, ethnic residential
segregation in the UK, financial crisis and remittances, and
transnational mobility and consumers.
