Regent’s Enterprise & Business Society (REBS)

Who we are:

“ Regent's Enterprise & Business Society is a purely student-led society that inspires, supports, and helps develop entrepreneurial activity amongst students at Regents College London by organising outstanding events, workshops and activities that give our members the confidence and courage to pursue their dreams and realize their full entrepreneurial potential; to be a social platform facilitating idea sharing, team building and opportunity realization by bringing together curious people, creatives, visionaries, doers from a wide variety of educational, experience and national backgrounds ”.

Vision

Given the context characterizing Regent’s College London with its seven schools and about a hundred different nationalities represented amongst its driven, enthusiastic student population, it is with confidence that the following vision is set forth:

“ To become one of the leading, most innovative entrepreneurial societies in the UK with an impressive portfolio of successful entrepreneurs in our ranks, an extensive international network – and a truly unique selling point for Regents College ”.

Goals

The REBS ethos is that business runs in the genes of many students at every school on campus – whether an aspiring entrepreneur, film-maker or commercial psychologist, in the present age, we acknowledge the need for every individual to be ‘business savvy’ or as the market terms it ‘commercially aware’.

Thus, REBS is for individuals with a burning desire to go out into the world and make a positive difference and, as such, the two main goals of REBS are to:

  • Inspire ideas by providing the platform for business ideas to be exchanged and developed, via our exceptional events and workshops.
  • Realise potential by using workshops and events to sharpen and enhance a diverse range of skill sets, to give our members the best possible means to excel in the post- degree world.

Objectives

  1. Invite guest speakers and coordinate related activities.
  2. Develop and run successful workshops on, for instance, guerrilla marketing, creativity, boot strapping, opportunity recognition, etc.
  3. Organise successful networking events, for instance, meet & greets, networking parties, dinners, etc.

Since REBS is for students by students it is, essentially, about your needs. This means that we want you to get in touch with us and tell us what activities, events, speakers, themes, workshops, ideas, you would like REBS to organise.

The REBS steering committee comprises six dedicated individuals. However, we are looking to expand, and would like to have at least three students from each school on campus involved in the management of REBS. If you want to directly influence the future of REBS and are ready to take on the responsibility of doing so, please do not hesitate to get in touch! Send us an email stating your motivations and we’ll get back to you right away.

And always remember: Don't just dream it!

"My MA has benefited me in a number of ways. The many different cultures represented by students on the programme, their ways of working and their lifestyles has given me a broader perspective on the world, which I have found useful in my consultancy job."
