Advice on being proactive in tracking down the best opportunities. We give you the tools to research industries and employers and find the latest vacancies in your target sector. We show you how to access vacancies advertised by CBR, with some vacancies being exclusive to Regent’s.

CV & cover letter

We show you how to best sell your skills, knowledge, experience and achievements to create a winning CV and write effective, tailored cover letters when applying for volunteering, work placements/internships, graduate or full time roles.

Applications

We reveal how to structure your application forms, tailor and match yourself to the needs of the role and the employer.

Interviews

Preparation is vital to performing successfully in an interview. We show you how to research, what to expect and we take you through common competency-based interview questions.

STAR stories (Tackling competency questions)

You’ll be taught the STAR approach, used for tackling competency based questions. This approach provides a way for you to convey your key competencies with evidence, which employers will look for from you.

Sector specific workshops

Careers and Business Relations often run workshops which are sector specific. These range from Careers in Finance, Business Development, Oil & Gas, Fashion & Creativity, Psychotherapy and Counselling. Experts working in industry deliver these workshops for you to enhance your sector knowledge, professional development, identify challenges and routes to your chosen sector of interest.
