Courses at Internexus

General English Courses

Year-round courses
* from 2 to 48 weeks
* Pre-intermediate to Advanced

General English classes are from Monday to Friday.

Important: Internexus London does not have provision for English Language students who are beginners.

Intensive:

27 hours per week: 9.15am-4.45pm

Students combine a three-hour class of General English with two specific afternoon classes (options). The three hour class is a balanced, communicative class covering the skills of speaking, listening, writing and reading. These classes also focus on pronunciation, grammar, vocabulary, and aspects of British culture and life in Britain. The afternoon classes have a specific focus and these may change every two weeks.

Semi-Intensive:

15 hours per week - Mornings: 9.15am-12.30pm
15 hours per week - Afternoons: 1.30-4.45pm

Students can either study in the morning or the afternoon.

The minimum age for all courses at Internexus London is 16. There is a maximum of 14 students per class with an average of 10-12 students per class.

Pre-College Courses   - Non Exam Course -

Many of our students need to improve their English skills to go to university at Regent's College, or to another college in the UK. We have an excellent success rate in training students for the IELTS exam and in providing them with the skills they need for university study in the UK.

Cambridge ELTS Exam Course

This course combines general English with specific language skills needed for academic study.
* 8 weeks intensive
* Upper Intermediate Plus
* 27 hours per week

IELTS is a widely accepted qualification for university entrance in the UK, the USA, Australia and New Zealand. This course focuses on:
* Writing essays
* Understanding academic texts
* Increasing vocabulary
* Exam techniques
* Listening skills for lectures
* Discussing, debating and presenting

Bridge Course

* 12 week Intensive
* Mid- Upper-lntermediate
* 7 hours per week

This course prepares students wishing to enter one of the schools on campus or other British universities in September 2009 or January 2010. The course combines General English with specific language skills needed for academic study, such as writing essays and reports, understanding lectures and participating in discussions and seminars.

Business English Courses

* 25 hours per week
* 2 week modules
* Upper intermediate

Every summer Internexus offers a programme of short business courses in conjunction with the European Business School (EBS). These two-week courses are aimed at students who have not previously studied business. Each course combines morning classes of Business English taught by Internexus, with afternoon lectures introducing a business subject, taught by EBS.

One to One Courses

This course is designed for the busy individual who wishes to maximize their time in London. The syllabus is tailored to meet the specific needs of the student.

Internship Programmes

Students first take a full-time English course followed by a full-time unpaid work placement.

Work placements are allocated on arrival and can be arranged in almost any sector: administration, finance, marketing, engineering, etc.

* Students are able to improve their English and gain important international work experience. Certificates are given from both the English course and the placement.

Students from outside the EU must enter the UK on a student visa to do this programme.

Required level is upper intermediate to advanced.

Certificates for this programme can be issued at an extra cost by the University of Cambridge International Examinations.

Visa national students must study for a period of time equal to or greater than the work placement period.
