Our international Regent's Clubs are a great opportunity to keep in touch and network with fellow alumni. Our Development & Alumni Relations team share their favourite venues...
Caroline Waterfall - Stewardship Coordinator, Regent’s University London
I really enjoyed my first Regent’s Club visit which was to Bucharest, held at the centrally-located Madame Pogany bar. We had lunch the following day at Caru' cu Bere, a historic and beautiful restaurant since 1879, situated in the heart of Old Town. I enjoyed the traditional Romanian food, the generous portions and great company of our alumni!
Khen Nirnfeld – Development Data & Research Officer, Regent’s University London
I liked Capella Bar at Breidenbacher Hof hotel in Dusseldorf - a beautiful luxury hotel, well known to our local alumni. The location was central and easy to find between ‘Dusseldorf’s 5th avenue’ and an area called Altstadt, dubbed ‘the longest bar in the world’. The bar itself was smart, not too loud so that people were able to chat and hear each other in a group of 10+ people. The atmosphere was very relaxed and the friendly staff provided table service and some nice nibbles.
Jeanne-Marie Hudson – Events Officer, Regent’s University London
It would definitely have to be the Victoria tearoom in Munich. As someone who has a great penchant for beautifully styled interiors, combined with comfort, this place most certainly appealed to me on several levels. Secondly the piece de resistance was the eggs benedict that I indulged in the next day, before flying back home to London. Definitely the best ever!
