Regent’s Study Abroad Programme: The Pieces Will Remain Forever

“Travel isn’t always pretty. It isn’t always comfortable. Sometimes it hurts, it even breaks your heart. But that’s okay. The journey changes you; it should change you. It leaves marks on your memory, on your consciousness, on your heart, and on your body. You take something with you. Hopefully, you leave something good behind.” – Anthony Bourdain

It’s not just the classrooms and high-quality teaching that makes our study abroad programme special. It’s the walk through the beautiful royal Regent’s park every day, it’s the morning coffee on our campus, it’s speaking to people with many nationalities in between running to classes, it’s Baker Street, the strange English accent that everyone is surprised to find more difficult than they had imagined, the bright red dandelion in autumn and the smell of Spring flowers.

This is Regent’s, a truly multicultural dynamic boutique university set in the heart of London. Our study abroad students are our students, they mix with everyone, join all the student activities and often too busy on the weekends because they are exploring the City and Europe.

All good things come to an end though and before they know it, our study abroad students are packing up their bags, collecting pieces of memories of times they spent here, of people and friends they met, of the taste of cream tea, the frustration of different credit systems in the UK and of strangely dressed cyclists on the Inner Circle every morning. They go back home to their home universities, graduate and move on. But they always say I, too, studied in London.

Luigi, an inbound student from Italy, has called our campus ‘a hidden paradise in the chaotic and beautiful city of London.’

It’s our people

We have an extensive partnership network and work with universities across the world – over 100 partners in over 20 countries in 5 continents. All partner institutions have been carefully selected based on their academic excellence. As well as welcoming students from those partners, many of our students go out to do a study period abroad for either a semester or a year. They come back and enrich our global culture, introduce new things to us and contribute to making Regent’s the leading global university in the UK.

Like those who come to study with us, our students also bring pieces of memories to treasure. They build relationships all over the world, make valuable contacts for future employment or business idea. They start the global network that sums up what we are all about and which is strengthened by our alumni network.

It’s our alumni

Inbound Study abroad students are our students, and so also our alumni. It has always been uplifting to see that inbound students are among our most engaged graduates. We are looking forward to welcoming more in our ranks. We would like to thank you for being an excellent member of the Regent’s family wherever you are, whatever you studied and however long you stayed with us.
