I joined the University in June 2010 to manage the introduction of the Blackboard VLE. Since then we have continued increasing our Learning Technology provision and expanded the team to support the development, design and implementation of technology enhanced learning across the University. My background is in multimedia and online learning and I have supported elearning across Further and Higher Education Establishments for over 15 years.

  • Programme and module development
  • Projects and pilots for new learning technology and software

I am particularly interested in the use of alternative assessment methods and supporting students with a variety of learning needs.

Steve Dawes
Learning Technologist (Content)

I joined Regent’s University in April 2014 from a FE background in media services and technical training.

Since then I have been developing my skills in both technology and education and putting this knowledge to use in supporting both staff and students in their University learning experiences.

I can help you with:

  • Developing online multimedia content for your modules
  • Managing your online content and users
  • Using interactive tools in the classroom
  • Creating and utilising alternative assessment methods

My particular interests focus on creating blended learning experiences and furthering the use formative assessment methods and tools both inside the classroom and online.

Anna Williams 
Learning Technologist (Training) 

I have worked as a Learning Technologist (Training) at Regent's University London since May 2011, building on years of teaching and training experience in the further and higher education sectors.

Helen Ghodbane
Learning Technology Adviser

I have recently become a permanent member of the Learning Technology Team at Regent’s University London after working here temporarily for a year and a half.

Previously, I have worked as an English Language Tutor and ILT Mentor in further education and am now advising staff and students with regard to Turnitin, Blackboard VLE and using technology for teaching and learning.

Lee Leewis 
Learning Technology Adviser

I joined Regent’s University in January 2018 as a learning technology advisor. My background is in primary education and instructional design; however, my research interests are in e-learning, learning analytics, metacognition, and self-regulated learning. In my previous role I worked with a London-based education start-up to improve their platform and training protocols by examining how tutors plan, monitor, control, and evaluate learning. Prior to that, I taught abroad for four years, three of which I spent as head teacher of my school. 

I am excited to be part of Regent’s team of Blackboard specialists and I look forward helping students and staff with all their digital requirements.
