Alex Smith


Professional Biography

After working as a solicitor in top ten legal firm in the City, Alex left to pursue musical interests before going on to train as an existential-phenomenological psychotherapist at Regent's.  He has taught psychotherapy and counselling at Regent's since 2003 as well as maintaining a private practice since 2001 and working for private psychotherapy practice since 2004.  Alex was Secretary of the Society for Existential Analysis and Experiential-Constructivist Section of UKCP for five and two years respectively. He has developed an interest in psychodynamic ideas in recent years undertaking study at the Tavistock Institute, but remains resolutely existential-phenomenological in orientation.
