Dan Lanigan

Chief Commercial Officer


Dan joined Regent’s in April 2022 with a remit of driving the University’s commercial growth. He leads Regent’s Sales, Marketing & Communication functions, Conferencing & Events business, Alumni Relations, Partnerships and English Language Centre.  

He’s passionate about providing exceptional end-to-end customer experiences that bridge the digital and real worlds, reduce friction, and generate emotional connections. His focus on ensuring a deep understanding of customer needs and designing experiences that generate sustainable relationships aligns with Regent’s ambition to deliver high-quality, personalised student experiences.

Dan has 25 years of professional experience in a range of senior marketing, digital and commercial roles across the leisure, entertainment, travel, media, and telecoms sectors. His formative years were spent as a consultant with KPMG and then as a Director at AOL during the early stages of the digital revolution. He later became Head of e-Commerce Product Management at Thomas Cook, Director of Digital CX at Avis Budget Group International, and then International Marketing Director for global entertainment group, Topgolf. 

He has played an instrumental role in implementing digital, agile, data-driven and test & learn mindsets, an approach he’s brought to Regent’s. He also has extensive experience in launching lines of business, defining strategy, creating customer-facing propositions, entering new markets, optimising sales channels and forging key commercial partnerships. 

Dan holds a degree in international business and finance from Georgetown University.
