Kevin Bonnett is currently covering the role of Provost on a temporary consultancy basis in order to assist the new Vice-Chancellor while the appointment process for the new Provost and Deputy Vice-Chancellor takes place. Having previously worked at Regent’s as Interim Provost and then as Interim Dean, Professor Bonnett’s task is assist in ensuring continuity and smooth transition in the senior leadership of the university.

The role of Provost is to offer senior academic leadership in support of the Vice-Chancellor, especially focussing on our course portfolio, our approach to learning and teaching and, above all, the experiences and success of our students.  Kevin’s academic background is in Social Science, with a particular interest in political sociology and political economy and he has published in those areas; he has previously held posts as Deputy Vice-Chancellor at Manchester Metropolitan University and Derby University.  He is very glad to have the opportunity once more to work with valued colleagues in helping shape the next steps forward for Regent’s.
