and Conditions

Conditions of entry:

  • The competition is open to current pre-degree students (including A/S and A level, foundation and equivalent pre-degree programmes)
  • This competition is open to schools internationally
  • Competition registration closes at 17:00 BST on 15 December 2016
  • One registration per school. Schools can submit multiple student entries if they wish
  • One entry per student
  • It is the responsibility of the school to ensure they gain the necessary permission to enter students into the competition

Competition guidelines:

  • Entrants must submit a photograph of the outfit on a mannequin or model, supported by a photograph of the mood board, via email by 17:00 BST on 10 March 2017
  • Entrants must submit a fashion outfit based around the competition brief
  • Entries must be the original work of the entrant and not previously published anywhere else
  • All valid entries received before the closing date will be reviewed by a panel of judges who will shortlist entries and select a winner. The judges’ decision is final
  • Entrants who are shortlisted will be notified via the email address that was used to register for the competition by 4 April 2017
  • Entrants whose designs are shortlisted will be required to post their design to Regent’s University London to be received by the University prior to 21 April 2017
  • The winner and runners up will be announced at the static exhibition on 11 May 2017. This will be confirmed by an email to be sent by 26 May 2017
  • Regent’s University London will post the shortlisted designs back to entrants on request

Competition prizes:

  • A professional photoshoot will be created around the shortlisted designs. Designs will be modelled on a professional model
  • The shortlisted entries will be showcased at a static exhibition on 11 May 2017
  • The winning student and their school will receive a prize of fashion books
  • Two runners up will each receive a prize of fashion books
  • All entrants and their teachers will be invited to the shortlisted static exhibition and Regent’s Graduate Fashion Show

Entrants should be aware that:

  • Entrants will retain copyright of their submitted entries. All entrants licence Regent’s University London to edit and publish their entry as well as any subsequent images for publicity and news purposes. This includes the use of their names, photographs and general locations for publicity and news purposes during this and future promotions by Regent’s University London
  • Regent’s University London is under no obligation to publish any of the submitted designs
  • Regent’s University London reserves the right to publish entries (including parts of entries) and publication does not necessarily mean the entrant has won a prize
  • Regent’s University London reserves the right at any time to cancel, modify or supersede the competition (including altering prizes) if, in our sole discretion, a competition is not capable of being conducted as specified
  • Regent’s University London reserves the right to substitute a prize of equal value in the event that circumstances beyond their control make this unavoidable
  • Regent’s University London is not responsible for any travel expenses incurred
  • Entry is free but entrants should be aware that if their design is shortlisted they will be required to post their outfit to Regent’s University London
  • Completion and submission of the registration form will be deemed acceptance of these terms and conditions
