About this event
In 2016, Francois, a Regent’s EBS alumnus, launched Sea2See – an eyewear company which designs and produces optical frames and sunglasses entirely made with recycled marine plastic waste collected in collaboration with thousands of fishermen in Spanish ports.
Sea2see started its operations through agreements with port authorities in Catalonia, and now works through more than 37 ports in Spain and France collecting 500kg of plastic waste per day. The success of the company has led to a fast expansion to initiate the collection of waste further afield in areas that are seeing a horrifying level of waste on beaches, including Ghana and West Africa.
Starting from early November, Sea2See will launch a collection of watches made 100% in Switzerland and 100% out of recycled marine plastic waste.
Join us to hear Francois speak about Sea2See’s story, creating a global consciousness about sea plastic waste, sustainable fashion and an eco-disruption of a traditional industry.
This event will be moderated by Professor Geoff Smith, Vice-Chancellor of Regent's University London.
