The debate will revolve around current trends in wealth management, examining the current trends of investing in ESG and sustainable funds. The panel will examine how sustainability is impacting wealth management practice and whether it constitute a new approach in portfolio management. The presentations will cover both demand and supply sides of the industry. The event will also be a good opportunity to interact, exchange and network with peers from academia and the industry. Participants include academics, industry experts from banks, research firms, asset management companies, wealth managers and financial technology firms.

Dr Jacob H Schmidt PhD MSc
Dr Schmidt is Senior Lecturer in Finance at Regent’s University London. He is the founder and Chief Executive Officer of Schmidt Research Partners Limited and Chief Investment Analyst and member of the Investment Committee at NLPFM. He is an international financial markets expert and global hedge fund consultant, having worked in global financial markets for over 30 years. Co-founder and former director of hedge fund rating and research firm Allenbridge Hedgeinfo (2000 – 2005). Prior to that he worked for Citibank London (1994 –1996), Donaldson Lufkin & Jenrette (1996 – 1998) and having started his career at Creditanstalt-Bankverein in Vienna (1990 – 1994). Mr Robin Dickinson
Robin is an enthusiastic and accomplished subject matter expert, strategist and programme manager who consistently delivers above expectation. Working predominantly in the field of Sustainability Transformation in the UK and internationally, he has progressed the commercial and broader objectives of major organisations such as the Carbon Trust and SAP as well as a number of niche environmental and technology companies and not for profit organisations such as the Wildlife Trusts. With sector experience in Oil, FMCG/Retail, IT, Construction, Utilities, Local and Central Government, Robin is also Senior Lecturer in Sustainability at Regent's University Business School, London and has recently co-authored a book, published by Routledge, introducing Fractal Sustainability, a tool to assess organisational levels of sustainability mindsets and innovation as a driver for success.
Ms Abbie Llewellyn-Waters
Abbie Llewellyn-Waters joined Jupiter in 2006 and is a global equities portfolio manager in the Global Sustainable Equity Team. She manages the Jupiter Global Sustainable Equities Fund and has been a lead portfolio manager of institutional funds since 2012, previously co-manager of the multi-asset Jupiter Global Ecology Diversified Fund. Abbie has been awarded Impact Manager of the Year, 2019 – LAPF Awards, also in 2017, Abbie was awarded both Fund Manager of the Year and Investment Woman of the Year at Investment Week’s inaugural Women in Investment Awards. Abbie is also a contributing member of several industry initiatives: for example, she is an Ambassador for the Diversity Project and a member of the 30% Club UK Investor Group. She has a degree in Classics from University College, London.
Charlie McCann is Investment Analyst at NLP Financial Management’s investment team specialising in sustainability / ESG. Having researched ESG funds for almost three years he is in charge of NLPFM’s Sustainable Portfolio. He has a degree in Econometrics and Quantitative Economics (BSc, Economics and Politics) from the University of East Anglia. He has the Investment Management Certificate from the CFA Institute (Jun 2016) and has passed the CFA Level I in 2018.
