Postgraduate Welcome Week
Tuesday 27 September
Registration When: 9am – 2pm |
Complete your registration and collect your Student ID card. Please order your Student ID card ahead of Welcome Week. On arrival, you'll be greeted by members of staff, including Head of Student Services, Pam Taylor. |
Guided tour of Regent's campus When: 10am – 2.30pm, starting every 30 mins |
When you've completed your registration, explore your beautiful surroundings by joining us on a campus tour. You'll see the hottest spots on campus, including the Quad and the world's smallest Starbucks. We'll also drop by our brand new Student Lounge in front of the new Student Union Office. |
Refreshments with the Student Union When: 12pm – 2pm |
Thirsty after your campus tour? Come have some refreshments, talk to your fellow students and get to know your Student Union team. |
Matriculation Ceremony When: 3pm – 4pm |
The unmissable ceremony where you're officially inducted into the academic community at Regent's. Led by our Vice-Chancellor, Professor Geoff Smith, you'll be welcomed by our senior academics and do a signing to mark your matriculation. After the ceremony, the academic procession will lead you to the Welcome Reception. |

Wednesday 28 September
Welcome to your course at Regent's When: 10am – 1pm |
Hosted by your Director (Content) at Regent's, this session will be your chance to familiarise yourself with your course in detail. All new postgraduate students should attend this essential session to get a better idea of what it's like to learn at Regent's. |
Lunch When: 1pm – 2pm |
Join us for lunch and get a chance to meet some of the teams who'll be supporting you throughout your studies, including our Student Hub team, our Careers team, our Achievement Officers, and many more. |
Studying at Regent's When: 2pm – 5pm |
Meet the academic staff who will be teaching and supporting you through your time at Regent's, as well as other students and alumni from your course. You'll also participate in a series of tailored activities that will inspire you ahead of your first class. |
Student Union networking event When: 5pm – 6pm |
Hosted by Regent's Student Union, this unique evening is a chance to connect with your fellow students and meet the Student Union team. Come prepared to talk to a lot of new people. |
Thursday 29 September
Student Union Welcome Fair When: 11am – 1pm |
Join Regent's Student Union for information about SU social events, academic events, societies, clubs, councils and sports clubs. Find out what opportunities are available to you as a member. |
Grand Autumn Party When: 5pm – 10pm Dress code: Dress to impress |
The Grand Autumn Party is a Regent’s tradition, held on the University’s Tuke Lawns to welcome new and returning students to campus. Celebrate the start of the academic year and enjoy an evening filled with food, music, live entertainment, and a few special surprises. What to expect on the night:
