You are invited to attend an international workshop whose aim is to disseminate the outcomes of a research project sponsored by the British Council (2018-2019). The main thrust of this project was to research the ‘sustainability’ of the core principles of a special form of inclusive practitioner research entitled Exploratory Practice (EP), which has informed the education curricula experienced by 44 Brazilian practitioners who graduated between 2008 and 2018. EP was designed in the 1990s to enable practitioners and their students to work together to understand better their classroom practice.

The participants will be introduced to EP and its principles, how the in-service EP practitioners have been surviving in the profession and whether EP has offered them a viable alternative to professional pressures. The participants will have ample opportunities to reflect on and discuss the outcomes of this study.
