Why did you choose to study at Regent’s American College London?
Regent's College unites an international, varied crowd in the very heart of London’s most beautiful area. I come from a very international background and it was fundamental for me to continue my academic path with people from all cultures and backgrounds. I was also drawn by RACL's choice of courses, which enabled me to fulfil my studies in Psychology with a minor in Business Management.
What are your favourite memories at that time?
Where do I begin? There are countless memories that I recall with so much joy and nostalgia, such as meeting in Regent's park with fellow students on a sunny day, studying, eating, or just chatting away. There was a very peaceful atmosphere inside Regent's College, which made it easy to meet new people all the time. I recall many enjoyable moments with the professors, employees and members of Regent's, it all felt like a big, close family who had your back in good as well as in challenging times.
What ambitions did you have for your career during the time as a student?
I had many ambitions then, many ideas, but no clear picture of what I wanted to do. I always knew I wanted to create my own company and make a difference in this world and in people's lives. My strongest motivation was to help others, encouraging and supporting them in a way that they're not used to. My studies at Regent's only made it clearer how much I loved to work with people from all over the world. I got to understand how each person is unique and special and capable of so much.
What have you been up to since you graduated?
I pursued my certification in hypnotherapy and in life and professional coaching. This gave me a complementary twist to the frame of my career and allowed me to successfully help people in creating positive, fulfilling and lasting changes in their lives. I created my own business be&become, which helps men and women in reaching their most profound goals and making significant changes in their personal, professional lives as well as in their relationships. With the help of coaching and hypnotherapy, we manage to effectively work through a wide range of situations such as stress/anxiety, handling a disease, separation/loss or quitting addictions. Sessions are done in German, French or English either face-to-face in my practice (Geneva), on the phone, using Skype or even by writing.
What have you found to be the main difference between working with a large company and establishing your own company?
The sense of responsibility. Working in a large company feels somewhat safe: your tasks are clear and you know what to do. By the end of the day, you know you get paid. Working for yourself is different because you know each penny you earn counts and heavily leans on your work, your efforts and determination. Building a business from scratch is a great challenge and is really about taking a risk, but if you truly love what you do, stay with your values and stick to that, the success will follow.
What is your next goal?
There are so many things I'd like to fulfil in the future. In terms of be&become, I see the company grow and grow and becoming an internationally based place/source people can turn to in times of difficulty.
I also see myself writing my first book, which is one of my life-long dreams. I'd like to create something which puts hope in people's hearts and showing, through my own experience and the experience I get to witness every day with my clients, that they can go further in life and be who they really are, and becoming their true potentials. If I can keep making a difference in people's lives, then that's exactly what I want to continue doing.
