Professor Ryan was awarded a stipend Professorship from Guangdong University of Education (GDUE) for academic management and leadership. He travelled to Jiangsu University of Technology in Changzhou, GIST International College in Suzhou and Guangzhou Technical institute of Tourism and Commerce to discuss future collaborations with Regent’s University London.
Paul said on his return: "It was a great honour and privilege to be awarded a Professorship from one of China's best institutions. The opportunity also to see the students excitedly embarking on their studies in the UK reminded me of the transformational impact education has on people’s lives".
Paul was also very positive about the potential benefits closer links with China has for Regent’s.
"All the hard work that colleagues at Regent’s undertook in gaining institutional recognition by the Chinese Education Ministry will help those students from China to come to Regent’s and continue their studies. I look forward over the next few months to putting colleagues at Regent’s in touch with friends in China, and welcoming them to our International Partnership Conference in January."
