14 January 2014

The BA (Hons) Creative Industries programme offers a unique combination of creative and business thinking. It provides you with the skillset to realise new creative ideas and implement them into profitable ventures.

Taught by creative practitioners, the programme includes creative project-based individual and team tasks as well as management and business modules including law and intellectual property.

A compulsory placement in the second year will allow you apply your skills in the real world.

You will gain first-hand experience of creative processes, timings and finances, marketing ideas and platforms as well as a good understanding and awareness of the management and legal side of the business.

This programme will provide you with the skills to advance into a dynamic career in the creative industries, either creating a new entrepreneurial business from the ground up, or in an established or emerging company.

Hillary Pierce, Alumna

This programme is the perfect balance of practicality and creativity. It utilises London’s expansive hub of creativity; from guest speakers to off-site explorations to hands-on industry experience, I really appreciated being immersed in the city’s diverse culture.

This degree is ideal for those seeking a career as entrepreneurs, producers, or managers who would benefit from seeing the creative industry landscape from a bird’s eye view.

I am intrigued by the 'Major Creative Project'...this is an exciting initiative and should produce students with ideas that are ready for commission!
