Regent’s announces exciting changes to the DPsych Counselling Psychology

Regent’s University London is delighted to announce that student applications are still open for the DPsych Counselling Psychology.

The programme has been through a revalidation and has some exciting new  additions for 2014 / 2015.

Taking two years of feedback into account, changes have been incorporated into the programme to further enhance our students’ experience on the British Psychological Society accredited programme and provide the necessary skills for practice as a counselling psychologist in today’s competitive marketplace.

Additional class time has been dedicated to personal development along with clinical supervision and research training throughout the three years. A new module, for our advanced third year trainees, has also been introduced offering students a selection of innovative industry led workshops based on new and emerging trends in the field.

Professor Martin Milton, Regent’s Director of Counselling Psychology Programmes, said: “We are very excited about the new additions to our DPsych programme, which retains its existential-phenomenological and CBT approaches to practice, but further embeds these approaches into the discipline of counselling psychology."

“The programme is specifically designed to support candidates as they develop the clinical and research skills required for practice. We look forward to receiving applications and to meeting interested candidates over the summer.”

The DPsych Counselling Psychology is currently validated by The Open University.
