Regent’s Club arrives in Oslo

Less than two weeks into 2012 and we are already celebrating the launch of our latest international alumni group. The Regent’s Club arrived in a snow covered Oslo to be met with a warm welcome from local alumni. The event had been arranged by three former MBA students, Kristin Skinnarland, Siri Ribsskog and Ane-Marte Weng, who have formed a team to co-ordinate the activities of the group.

Staying true to memories of the Volunteer, our three coordinators chose the Dubliner pub as the venue for this first union. Keeping true to their British experience, they tucked into Guinness, Samuel Smiths beer and fish and chips.  The group included old friends who had studied together and some meeting for the first time.  Conversation soon turned to missing old haunts, remembering Putney, Movida, shopping in Harrods and Selfridges and swapping stories of former tutors.
The group hope to meet quarterly, varying activities and meeting places to try new things - even proposing taking future reunions to other areas of Norway. We left our hosts for the evening to carry on reminiscing into the night and they left us with excellent suggestions for places to visit in Oslo.  You can see some of our photos in the facebook gallery.

Tusen Takk

For the next Regent’s Club, we move to warmer climes, and will be meeting in Madrid on the 1st February 2012.  If you would like to join the Regent’s Club in Oslo, Madrid or any of the other locations round the world then go to the alumni website.
