Regent’s University London is honoured to be hosting the world’s biggest professional screenwriting event – the London Screenwriters’ Festival 2016.
More than 1,000 delegates are expected to attend the Festival, which is an annual gathering of emerging and established screenwriters. There will be more than 100 sessions, 150 industry expert speakers and some of the biggest names in film and TV (from both the UK and Hollywood). Students are also active volunteers at the event, which David Hanson has successfully brought to campus for six years.
The festival speakers include novelist and screenwriter Nick Hornby (Brooklyn, An Education, Fever Pitch, About A Boy), William Nicholson (Gladiator, Les Miserables, Mandala: Long Road To Freedom), Dustin Lance Black (Milk, J.Edgar); Jim Uhls (Fight Club, Jumper) and W.Peter Iliff (Point Break, Patriot Games).
Delegates will attend workshops, film screenings, Q&As, networking events and round off the week with the week with the 2016 British Screenwriters’ Awards.
