We are very saddened to learn that Sarah Salam, final year student of the BA (Hons) International Business programme, died at the weekend. Sarah was tragically killed as she crossed the road in LA where she was visiting friends for a few days.

Sarah had a wide circle of friends across the University and her death has hit many students and staff very hard. Only last week she was a leading light in the first Regent’s Fashion show. One of its driving forces, she put in months of hard work for the show while studying hard as she neared the end of her studies.

She described herself on her fashion blog as an "Italian/Indian travel addict, fashion lover … International Business student in London but live all over the place”.

Our condolences go out to Sarah’s family and friends at this terribly sad time.

Student Services on the ground floor of the Acland building can be contacted by anyone at the University who needs support.

The University plans to honour her memory in the near future and will be letting students and staff know when the arrangements have been made.
