My name is Antoine Soulard, and I am the Student Union President at Regent’s University London. I came to Regent’s in 2012 to study International Events Management at our European Business School and after a great three and a half years on this programme. Next, I will be embarking on a Masters in International Business starting here in September.
I am French and have always felt as welcome and at home in the UK as I do in France. My friends here are from all over the world and speak many different languages – for me, this has always been one of the great benefits of studying at Regent’s. We are a cosmopolitan university which is reflected in both the staff and the students, and benefits us all.
Having the amazing opportunity to study in such a diverse environment enables students here to develop an international mind-set, one that is essential to get ahead in the world and to better understand how it works. We are one of the few UK universities to have so many international students – making up 80% of our student population. Regent’s has always worked hard to ensure that all students, regardless of where they are from, are able to come and study in the UK.
Moving forward, we are fortunate that, as an independent university, we are able to respond to change quickly and flexibly, meaning we are able to ensure that students here will have the same great experience in the future that they have always had.
