On 14 January Regent's hosted a unique thank you dinner for our volunteers in the Tate Library.
This event was part of our special programme of events to mark 30 years of Regent's.
We had the pleasure of hosting 60 of our mentors, Regent's Club coordinators, event speakers, and alumni and friends of the University who have offered career opportunities to students.
The evening started with a drinks reception in the Knapp Gallery before moving to the library for a special dinner in a sumptuous dining hall.
Alumna Lexie Sims shared with the guests her experience of coming back to speak at Regent's and supporting students by taking part in Regent's mentoring programme. Professor Aldwyn Cooper, Vice Chancellor of Regent's, who welcomed the volunteers said:
"The future of Higher Education is very positive, it is going to look far more at student experience and we are an institution that believes very strongly in optimising student experience; about the personal touch that we can give to the programmes that we offer and ensuring that our alumni, many of whom are here this evening, are part of the process for the rest of their lives. We want to be working with them and learning from them."
