Message from Regent's Vice Chancellor

You will be aware of the tragic events in London yesterday evening. We do not believe that any of our students or staff have been injured in the attack.

Our thoughts are with the families and friends of the victims and everyone else who has been caught up in this senseless incident.

We are appalled that terrorists have targeted innocent citizens and visitors to London and condemn these acts in the strongest possible terms.

The latest advice from the Mayor of London’s office is that the public should remain calm and vigilant.

The University will work closely with the Police to monitor levels of risk. We hope that an increased Police presence across London provides some reassurance.

The safety of our students is our highest priority. It is important for all communities to stand together against hate crime, which should be reported and addressed seriously.

Professor Aldwyn Cooper, Vice Chancellor
