Regent's Vice Chancellor welcomes international students

Regent’s has internationalism at its heart. We have always celebrated the national and cultural diversity of our staff and students and will continue to do so. The result of the UK Referendum will not change that.

We are proud to say that we have more than 140 nationalities on our campus. We are a truly cosmopolitan community.

When you walk around the campus you hear a mix of many different languages. You see students from all over the world working with each other and forming life-long friendships. Some graduates set up international business ventures together.

We value the rich contributions that our European students make to our programmes. The different perspectives offered by our students add immeasurably to the quality of debate and learning, and enhance creativity. This is what makes our university such a vibrant, friendly place to work and study.

Post Brexit

I would like to reassure you that our current staff will retain their rights to work in the UK for the foreseeable future.

Students who currently here will still have visa-free access from Europe and access to all student benefits until the end of their studies, as will those of you who join us in the autumn.

If you need to apply for a visa, I would like to reassure you that we have years of experience in supporting students through this process. We have a team of expert advisors on hand to help you.

Join us at Regent's

I love this university and I know that our current staff and students, our alumni, our partners and friends around the world do too. We look forward to welcoming you all here in September, or later next year if you haven’t yet applied.

There is an Open Day on Saturday 20 August when you can find out about our undergraduate programmes.

See you soon.

Professor Aldwyn Cooper
Vice Chancellor
