René Girard: do mimetismo à hominização by Dr Stephane Vinolo of Regent's Centre for Transnational Studies is translated and published in Brazil.

Dr Vinolo's book focuses on the process of hominisation in relation to the solution to the violence generated by desires. He argues that the Girardien model helps to understand how the origins of culture is nothing but the appearance of a particular mode of management of violence. The book was originally published in French in 2006 by L'harmattan.

Dr Vinolo is a Lecturer in French in Department of Languages and Cross-cultural Studies, Faculty of Business and Management at Regent's College London.
