Regent’s School of Psychotherapy & Psychology’s unique psychological approach to training in mediation and conflict resolution was taken to Singapore last month.
At the end of May, course leader Paul Randolph, together with tutors Karen Weixel-Dixon, Monica Hanaway and Spenser Hilliard, delivered the five day Mediation & Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) course in the Singapore Supreme Court Building.
The course has previously been taken to Jersey and Latvia, but this was the first in Asia which came at the invitation of Linda Heng of the Harmony Mediation Group Singapore (HMG) - an alumna of the RUL mediation course in December 2012.
The Mediation & Alternative Dispute Resolution course received impressive feedback and the School is already looking at taking the study further afield.
Harvard trained and accredited Abdul Salim, lawyer, HMG mediator, SMC associate mediator and trainer, said: 'This course has ticked all the right boxes for me. I would encourage all mediators, and prospective mediators, to take up this course so as to equip themselves with the skills and techniques required to handle parties in conflict.'
