Duncan Christie Miller. Managing Director, Christie-Miller Ltd
Duncan established Christie-Miller Ltd in 1987 as a training, development and personal growth consultancy. Christie-Miller Ltd is a networked consultancy, with consultants employed as required on specific projects. Prior to this he had had a first career in the Royal Marines. He resigned as a Major in 1982 after a varied and satisfying career – which included time in Special Forces, a 2 year attachment to the United States Marine Corps and 3 years as an Equerry to Prince Philip. His last appointment was commanding the Royal Marines Officers’ Training School. He initially set up Textainer, a shipping container leasing business. After 4 years he divested himself of his equity and moved to be a director of Debenhams, responsible for retail financial services. In 2009 he established the ASPIRE 2 concept in which sports and business people come together in an Academy to learn business and life skills.
