There is a fast-moving worldwide shift from English being taught as a foreign language (EFL) to English being the medium of instruction (EMI) for academic subjects such as science, mathematics, geography and medicine. EMI is increasingly being used in universities all over the world and is thought to be a passport to a global world.
This is an in-service pedagogical course for non-native speakers of English who teach or would like to teach their subjects in English. The course will help raise their teaching/lecturing skills in order to maximise opportunities for student learning and achievement.

Sessions will be a combination of interactive lectures, workshops and assessment sessions to meet the following holistic course aims.
For this course, we have a maximum class size of 15. This allows students to benefit from a personalised and interactive learning environment.
This course aims to help you improve your English as preparation for teaching classes in the English language.
English is a global language, used in a business context in many parts of the world. Teaching qualification and some teaching experience is required.
A minimum of B2 (upper-intermediate) level of English.
