Spanish is the world’s second largest international language, with nearly 500 million speakers. It is the official language of more than 20 countries.
We offer Spanish tuition at the following levels:
- Spanish Level 1 (CEFR Level A1.1)
- Spanish Level 2 (CEFR Level A1.2)
- Spanish Level 3 (CEFR Level A2.1)
- Spanish Level 4 (CEFR Level A2.2)
- Spanish Level 5 (CEFR Level B1.1)
- Spanish Level 6 (CEFR Level B1.2)
- Spanish Level 7 (CEFR Level B2+)
Evening Language Courses at Regent's take place once a week for a period of 8 - 10 weeks, and will always occur on the same day and at the same time each week.
Spring term will begin on w/c 28 January.
Please be aware that this is not a degree level programme.
We have three intakes per year, detailed below:
The Spring intake lasts 10 weeks, beginning on w/c 28 January 2019.
The Summer intake lasts 8 weeks. Start dates for Summer 2019 are yet to be confirmed. Contact us to enquire about studying languages at Regent's in Summer 2019.
The Autumn intake lasts 10 weeks. Start dates for Autumn 2019 are yet to be confirmed. Contact us to enquire about studying languages at Regent's in Autumn 2019.
We offer Spanish at a variety of different proficiency levels.

If you already have some knowledge of the language but don’t know which level of study would be most suitable for you, click here to download a placement test. Each level of Spanish tuition that we offer is detailed below.
|Spanish Level 1 (CEFR Level A1.1)||This course is for students with no or very little knowledge of the language. After successful completion of this course you will have grasped the basics the language. You will also be able to have simple interactions and exchange basic personal information, including your likes and dislikes.|
|Spanish Level 2 (CEFR Level A1.2)||This course is for students with some previous experience of the language. After successful completion of this course you will be able to engage in simple conversation on everyday and familiar topics, exchange information about yourself and your routine, your interests and plans, travel and shopping.|
|Spanish Level 3 (CEFR Level A2.1)||This course is for students who have a good knowledge of the basics of the language. At the end of this course you will be able to communicate with increased fluency and accuracy, talk about past experiences and future events, make suggestions and requests, and operate successfully in personal, social and some professional situations.|
|Spanish Level 4 (CEFR Level A2.2)||You have studied the language before and have a good knowledge that enables you to communicate in standard situations, including talking about past events and the future. By the end of the course you will be able to communicate with greater fluency and accuracy on everyday topics and in routine situations in personal, social and business contexts.|
|Spanish Level 5 (CEFR Level B1.1)||Students who join this course will have a good understanding of the language, knowledge of the grammatical structures and an emerging vocabulary. At the end of the course students will be able to use the language confidently to communicate with native speakers, engage in debates, use more sophisticated structures, and read and understand some authentic written and oral texts.|
|Spanish Level 6 (CEFR Level B1.2)||Students who join this course will have a good command of the language and its grammatical structures and vocabulary. At the end of the course students will be able to use the language with a degree of fluency and spontaneity, engage in debates, use more sophisticated structures, and read and understand authentic written and oral texts.|
|Spanish Level 7 (CEFR Level B2+)||Students who join this course will have a very good command of the language, knowledge of complex grammatical structures and a wide-ranging vocabulary. At the end of the course students will be able to use the language fluently, flexibly and effectively for social, academic and professional purposes. Student will practise summarising information, reconstructing arguments and presenting coherently. Students will be able to read and understand a wide range of complex, authentic written and oral texts on both concrete and abstract topics.|

Our courses are taught by native speakers and class sizes are typically between 6 - 15 students.
