The Henry Birnbaum Library is state-of-the-art, housing millions of print and electronic resources for students, faculty, and staff. Librarians are available during operation hours to assist students with research and class assignments. Study Spaces – During final examinations, Pace opens selected areas throughout the university as designated study spaces. These areas, located primarily in libraries, dining areas, and student unions, are quiet zones where students can study for exams without distractions.
Pace University has implemented the Pharos Uni-Print solution to provide a "green", student-friendly approach to printing.Using the Pace HigherOne Card or MyPace Account students can print, photocopy, and scan to e-mail. All students are given a $30.00 printing allotment per semester, which can be replenished through the Campus Autoload and rolled over into next semesters.

The Office of Student Development and Campus Activities (SDACA) helps students find groups that suit their interests, hobbies, cultural background and even their academic major.

Athletics/Sports – Pace’s Westchester campus is home to 19 NCCA Division II teams, but that doesn’t mean you have to be a student athlete to get involved in campus sports. Intramural and club teams are available on both Pace campuses.
Business/Professional—Students interested in developing connections with peers and industry professionals from their academic major can choose from a number of groups and programs. From finance to communications, business and professional clubs help give our student body a glimpse into the careers awaiting them upon graduation.
Student Media & Entertainment – Pace’s student-run media outlets include a yearbook, radio stations, newspapers, a literary magazine, and campus programming and entertainment boards. Express your opinions, channel your creativity, or help decide which big-name acts will visit Pace.
Greek Life – Pace is home to six fraternities and five sororities throughout its two campuses. In addition to forming friendships, Pace’s greek community participates in community service and other philanthropic events throughout the academic year.
Collegiate Interests – Some academic majors at Pace are represented in clubs. Groups like Student Nurses at Pace and the Forensic Science Students Organization allow students to meet one another and discuss their career plans, ask for advice, and socialize in a casual setting.
Student Governance – Many events held at Pace University are organized by our students. Governing organizations oversee a budget, hold student elections, and help make decisions to improve the daily life of Pace students.
Politics & Society – From community service to global awareness, Pace students involved in these clubs work directly with the world outside the walls of the university. One student group, Keep a Child Alive, raises funds for African children and their families who have been affected by AIDS/HIV. Pace’s Debate Team lets students sharpen their speaking skills while promoting awareness of current events and issues.
Honor Societies – Pace is home to a number of honor societies that promote academic achievement at the university, college, and academic major levels.
Cultural/Social – Pace’s diverse student population means our campuses are home to a number of clubs representing a multitude of backgrounds. Students can connect with their peers at clubs like the Caribbean Students Association, Sabor Latino, Hillel, the Pace Stonewall Coalition, or the United Chinese Students Assocation.

You will be contacted by your PACE Academic Adviser before the start of the semester regarding th choice of courses and registration.
Please note that the courses may change when you arrive at your host institution. The courses you choose when applying are indicative of what you would like to take while at the host institution.
American universities use the Carnegie Classification definition of a credit hour. A credit hour is defined as at least twelve and a half hours of direct faculty instruction (in class or remote sites) with at least twenty-five hours of student work outside of that direct instruction, usually spread over fifteen weeks, or the equivalent amount of work over a different amount of time.
Typically, courses are 3 credits each, meaning that students meet in class and/or online for 2 ½ hours a week and do academic work outside class at least five hours a week over a fifteen-week semester or the equivalent amount of work over a different amount of time. Courses that carry 4 or 5 credit hours require approximately one or two more hours of work each week in classes and require at least 1.67 or 3.33 additional hours of academic work outside class each week over a fifteen-week semester or the equivalent amount of work over a different amount of time.

F (Academic Fail)
FX (Administrative Fail in Course for Grade)
Academic Fail: Academic fail indicates the student’s continued enrollment in the course and he or she did not satisfy the Instructor’s summative requirements for passing the course.
Administrative Fail: Administrative fail is assigned by the instructor in lieu of a grade of F when a student never attended or ceased attending the class, rendering an assessment of academic performance impossible. Instructors will be asked to provide the last date of attendance.
Individual instructors may have different attendance requirements; it is the student’s responsibility to check each course syllabus to determine policy and to speak to instructors or the international office at the host institution regarding excused absences.
International Business or International Events Management Students:
You must enrol for 15 US credits (approx. 4 – 5 courses).
The courses you choose must be approved by your Programme Director
Film, TV and Digital Media Production or Screenwriting and Producing Students:
You must choose 3 courses or equivalent of 12 US credits from the courses approved by your Programme Director at Regent's.
International Business or International Events Management Students:
In order to pass your SPA you must obtain a pass in 12 US credits per semester.
Film, TV and Digital Media Production or Screenwriting and Producing Students:
You must obtain a pass in all the courses you registered for.
Students must sit all the exams for the courses they have registered for. Students are permitted to take resit exams on SPA at the host institution.
Students who fail to pass all their courses will be required to make up the missing SPA credits.

• Pace website offers comprehensive Off-Campus Housing info at: Off Campus Office. Educational Housing Service (EHS) operates several student residences in New York City, you can contact them on (800) 297-4694 or (212) 977-9099 or Student Housing.

• Also Craig's List has information and listings for flat shares, sublets and roommate searches.
• Also recommended is a publication called “Help Yourself to Housing” available at Metro International website.
• Fulton Hall is the one you will be staying at if you want campus accommodation. THIS WAS HIGHLY RECOMMENDED BY STUDENTS WHO SPENT A SEMESTER AT PACE. It is very cheap compared to private accommodation and very safe.
• Look in particular at the "off-campus housing guide" if you don't want to stay in campus accommodation.

New York City
Pace offers students the following residency options throughout New York City and Brooklyn:
(One Pace Plaza): Located within the same building where Pace students take most of their classes, Maria’s Tower spans 18 floors and is dedicated to Pace first-year students. Students are an elevator ride away from the cafeteria, classes, and the library.
The St. George
(100 Henry Street, Brooklyn Heights): Just steps from the subway to Pace’s campus, the St. George is located in posh Brooklyn Heights, one of the most scenic neighborhoods in the city. Pace students reside on floors 4 through 12, and can take in the calm, peaceful neighborhood after a day of classes. Each resident is given a FREE gym membership to the Eastern Athletic Club, a 75,000-square foot fitness facility with an indoor swimming pool, located around the corner from the St. George.
John Street Residence
(55 John Street): Students living in the John Street dormitory are just a few blocks away from classes at One Pace Plaza, and can enjoy the company of the 1,200 Pace students who live within the building’s 16 floors. The John Street residence has a fitness center on site.
(106 Fulton Street): Residence at Fulton Hall is reserved for upperclassmen, as rooms come in a variety of configurations: from singles to five-person apartments. The building houses more than 200 students throughout its 12 floors. Amenities include a TV lounge, along with a study lounge, meeting room, computer lab, laundry room, and fitness room. Computer labs in Fulton Hall are for the sole use of the residents of the hall. Some common areas throughout the building also provide wireless access. Laundry machines in this building are free of charge to all residents.
Applications for dormitory rooms must be made in advance with your application to the Office of Admission. Only students who have applied for university housing, paid the application fee, and have received written confirmation from Pace University should expect to receive a housing assignment. If you have not completed any of these steps, please contact the Housing Office immediately. Unless you receive confirmation from the University, a room is not guaranteed.
Dormitory rooms are furnished but you will need to bring or buy locally your own bed linens, pillows, blankets and towels. More detailed information will be sent to you with your housing assignment. Pace dormitories are not equipped for married couples or single parents.
Off-campus housing throughout the metropolitan area of New York can be expensive. Locating a reasonably priced apartment within walking distance of the school may be difficult. Students may contact the Housing Office on the campus they plan to attend. You will also find useful information about off-campus housing in Metro International’s Help Yourself to Housing guide. You can order a printed booklet or view the guide on-line at http://metrointl.org/programs/housingbooklet/.
If you need an apartment, make sure you plan to arrive in the U.S. early enough to look for one. Few private apartments are furnished, so you will most likely need to buy or rent furniture, linens, kitchenware, etc. If your family is accompanying you, it is advisable to arrive in the U.S. alone and to send for them once you have found suitable accommodations.
Once you have established a permanent address, are required by immigration regulations to inform the Office of International Programs and Services and complete a Change of Address Form at the Student Accounts and Registrar Services (SARS) Office.
Metro International’s Help Yourself to Housing guide contains information on reasonably priced temporary accommodations where you can stay while looking for an apartment, or if you arrive too early to move into your residence hall. All exchange students are responsible for making their own housing arrangements. Some international students live off campus and make their housing arrangements post‐arrival. However, Pace University does have limited on‐campus housing available to students. Students applying for housing will only be placed on a first-come-first-serve basis pending availability.
On-campus housing application and instructions will be sent to student directly by Pace upon their acceptance or offer of admission.
Please Note: The housing application will not be considered complete until the Pace University has received a $100 Damage Deposit (refundable upon the conclusion of the student's final semester in university housing, less any damage charges) and a $400 pre-payment (non-refundable, credit toward the first semester's rent).

You must provide evidence of having an appropriate health insurance. This is usually required at the time of submitting your application.
Important Note: Pace has a mandatory health insurance policy for all international students. Students will be automatically enrolled in the Unversity's international student health insurance program. However, students may be able to waive the Pace international student health insurance, if they possess comparable insurance coverage under another policy, proof of which must be provided.

• Once Pace has processed your information, they will be sending you an Acceptance Letter and DS-2019 form. These should be taken to the US Embassy to apply for a J-1 visa (for Exchange Visitors).

• You will need a receipt showing payment of SEVIS fee and additional documentation may be required for the visa application.
