Teaching and assessment
This is a communicative English language course teaching reading, writing, listening and speaking skills as well as grammar, vocabulary and pronunciation.
Classes are practical, fun and engaging with a focus on task-based activities that promote critical thinking, problem-solving and an understanding of British culture.
You’ll do much more than complete worksheets: you’ll practise your presentation skills, learn to write professional and personal emails and talk to classmates about topics relevant to you.
Outside the classroom, our weekly Conversation Club offers the chance to improve your fluency and boost your confidence by mixing with other students.
Plus, informal class trips take you on walking tours to London’s top sights, like the River Thames, where you’ll test your language skills through mini challenges as you explore the city.
You’ll learn in a supportive, personalised environment where staff and students get to know each other by name.
Small class sizes (an average of 8-12 students) ensure you’ll receive the personal attention needed to progress quickly. We adjust our course content to suit your needs, strengths and weaknesses.
All students take a placement test on their first day, followed by regular progress tests. English teachers give continuous feedback and regular one-to-one tutorials are available.
If you’re with us for just a short time, book weekly one-to-one language doctor sessions with your tutor – focusing on your specific learning needs.
If you’re with us for longer, you’ll be able to book language doctor sessions as well as checking-in with your tutor monthly: tracking your progress and revising your learning goals.
