Philip has over 20 years’ experience as a practising solicitor in London, focusing on employment law, discrimination and civil litigation. After graduating with an LLB he went onto to pass the solicitors’ finals and subsequently graduated with an LLM in employment law. Philip is also an accredited mediator. He has taught law to both undergraduate and post-graduate law students, as well as delivering CPD courses to practising lawyers. He has taught law at Regent’s University London since 2011 on a wide range of legal modules. Philip is presently pathway leader in law and encourages the experiential teaching of law across the University’s vibrant law team. His research interests include employment law, discrimination and landlord and tenant law. He has recently published a textbook on the evolution of employment law and practice, which is designed for legal practitioners in this area. He is a member of the Law Society, has chaired education appeal tribunals, education exclusion panels and has previously served as a magistrate for approximately ten years.
