Our Marketing and Media portfolio combines deep industry knowledge with hands-on experiences – giving you the practical skills to research customer behaviours, analyse data, explore new markets, harness new tools and technologies, think strategically across platforms and create impactful content that speaks to different audiences and motivations. We encourage socially and politically engaged creative practice, helping you build a digital portfolio that can reach diverse audiences and gain international visibility.

Working as part of a creative community on campus, you’ll improve your branding and storytelling skills and produce innovative campaigns, sales collateral and presentation decks which you’ll use to pitch your ideas to fellow students, industry guests and brands and businesses looking for new approaches and talent. By working directly on consultancy projects, you'll apply academic research to real-world challenges, with access to:

  • New platforms like Web3, VR and the metaverse
  • Professional film, photography and podcasting studios
  • Media store with cameras and lighting equipment
  • Mac/PC labs with editing software
  • Industry-standard Psychology Lab and equipment

Drawing on challenges real businesses have faced, you’ll develop techniques to identify setbacks, create innovative solutions, lead international teams, and build a professional network of contacts, giving you the edge to secure a job as a media strategist, manager or researcher soon after you graduate.
