Professional Biography
Dr Kesseba is an organisational scientist, researcher, and experienced academic in the field of Management Studies. A management consultant in the Internationalisation of Firms, Extractive Industry Contractual Agreements, Public-Private Partnerships, Supply Chain Management, and Ethical Management Practices. He obtained his Bachelor of Commerce (BCom) at Helwan University in Egypt, his Master of International Business Administration (MBA) at ESLSCA University in France, and his Doctorate of Business Administration (DBA) at Sheffield Hallam University in the UK.
Dr Kesseba’s research work is centred in the domains of: Management and Organisation, Philosophy of Management, and Ethics in Management. His research is published in a range of peer-reviewed academic journals and outlets. The current research pipeline revolves around "Micro foundations", with a particular study of the managerial tactics, moral logic, and the underlying philosophical values of individual actors managing organisations, partnerships, and strategic alliances. His lecturing activities cover the areas of Management, International Business Management, Foreign Direct Investment, Business and Management Research Methods, and Global Supply Chain Management.
Before moving to work in the higher education sector, he had seventeen years of international experience as an industry practitioner and executive manager working in management consultancy and the extractive/energy industries. During this time, he has worked with various large, medium, and small-sized portfolio entities across four continents.
Dr Kesseba is a Committee Member of the Inter-Organisational Collaboration Subject Interest Group (SIG) at the British Academy of Management (BAM). He is a keynote speaker at the Geological Society conference in London, UK, and a Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (SFHEA), UK. A Visiting Professor of Business Administration at Bloom Business School in Egypt, and a Visiting Lecturer of Research Philosophy at Sheffield Business School doctoral programmes.
